Panasonic brings high-definition aquarium to Coconut Grove with 65" widescreen plasma displays

Panasonic 65" high definition plasma displays are on the cutting edge of interior design in a luxury condominium lobby in Coconut Grove, Florida. Mounted behind two large portholes cut in a lobby wall of the just-completed $200 million Grovenor House, the plasmas play HD underwater video so lifelike that visitors mistake it for an actual giant-tank aquarium. Colorful high definition fish swim from one porthole to another surrounded by the beautiful corals of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. [Read more]

Baltimore Ravens equip M &T Bank Stadium with 116 Panasonic widescreen plasma displays
In a major upgrade, M&T Bank Stadium, home to NFL's Baltimore Ravens football, equipped its sold-out suites and its exclusive club level with high-contrast Panasonic widescreen flat-panel displays, including 116 42" plasma displays.

According to Senior Director of Stadium Operations Roy Sommerhof, "We’re committed to keeping everything fresh and vibrant for our customers, especially our suite owners, who like to see cutting-edge television. Our suites and club level were outfitted with conventional 20" displays for close to eight years, and we knew it was time for a change. Working with the Maryland Stadium Authority's Technical Committee, we evaluated displays from various manufacturers. On every level—picture quality, features and pricing—we were pointed to Panasonic." [Read more]

Panasonic plasmas add the visual excitement to Jacksonville Jaguars' refurbished Alltel Stadium

The 76,000-seat ALLTEL Stadium, home to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, underwent a $60 million renovation in advance of the Jaguars’ hosting Super Bowl XXXIX. The upgrade included the installation of 294 high-contrast Panasonic plasma displays to increase the fans’ visual enjoyment.

During the first phase of the stadium's refurbishment, a three-story space was constructed in the South End Zone of the stadium to house the 14,000 sq. ft. Bud Zone sports bar for general patrons and the 17,000 sq. ft. ADT Terrace Suite, a party suite with its own buffet dining, bar and seating. A total of 90 Panasonic 37" widescreen professional plasma displays are strategically placed throughout the Bud Zone and the ADT Terrace Suite for game viewing.

The second phase comprised the interior renovation and service upgrades of all 90 private suites, as well as the remodeling of the two 65,000-sq. ft. East and West Crown Royal Touchdown Clubs, which had been untouched since the opening of the stadium several years ago. The private suites have each been outfitted with Panasonic 42" widescreen HD plasma televisions. Twenty-four 50" 16:9 Panasonic HD plasmas are the centerpiece of the East and West Crown Royal Touchdown Clubs, and are located above the East and West Club Central Bars. Thirty-two 42" professional plasmas have been installed in proximity to select dining areas within each Club. Fifty-two 37" plasma displays have also been placed near the main concession, smaller bars and lounge areas dispersed throughout each Club. [Read More]

World's largest plasma delivers the fast motion of Sunday night NFL action in beautiful, full high definition

The nation's weekly marquee football game was shifting from Monday night to Sunday night, the most-watched night on TV, and to a new network. The new network, NBC, wished to present the audience of its Sunday night football broadcasts with a greater understanding and a better viewing experience of the NFL's fast-paced clashes (vs. its competitors' offerings), while attracting huge ratings. Panasonic helped NBC Universal meet the challenge of bringing innovation (and viewers) to the broadcast by supplying it with two 103" TH-103PF9UK full HD 1080p plasma displays, which allow a more in-depth presentation of the day's NFL action.
